Bill Hart's 1967 Ludwig Super Classic Kit. Identical to the Charlie Watts 1960's kit.
Bill Hart, Gerry Sandon and Doug Larbey get The 'Stones' Celebrations off to a truly lacklustre start...
Special Guest Wigan Emp' compere Bill Blackledge on that famous night on 27 November 1963 at The Wigan Emp'.
Bill tells the tale of his one-off experience with The Rolling Stones.
Bill is wearing the very same Showband jacket and bow tie from the night he introduced The Rolling Stones to an estimated 2000 Wigan fans.
That special night they auditioned at The Wigan Emp' and became a support band to The Rolling Stones along with The Beat Boys..

Two top bass-men: Bob Taylor of The Long & The Short with double-bass player and compere Bill Blackledge of The Empress Showband.
Bill shows off his 1960's Musicians Union Card which he unexpectedly found in a pocket of the Jacket he wore on the night he compered the 'Stones' Show.
On opening it up he found it to contained a 'Final Notice of Arrears' for £4 -2 -0 (£4.10).
Bill Blackledge's famous compere's jacket and bow tie is donated to Bill Hart as the very
first item of memorabilia for display in the newly proposed Lanky Beat Museum.
